# Inviting Members

> Add team members to your Fano Summary organization.

As a Company Admin, you can invite team members to join your organization's Fano Summary account. Each invited member receives an email with a link to set up their own account.

## How invitations work

When you invite a member:

1. They receive an email: "You've been invited to join \[Company Name] on Fano Summary Agent."
2. They click **"Set Up Your Account"** and create their password.
3. Once activated, they can connect their calendar and start using Fano Summary.

You never need to create or share passwords — each member sets their own.

## Invitation status

On the member management page, you can see each person's current status:

| Status      | What it means                                        |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Pending** | Invitation sent, but the member hasn't activated yet |
| **Active** | Member has completed setup and can use the product |

## Managing seats

Your organization has a set number of seats based on your plan. Each invited member (whether pending or active) counts toward your seat allocation.

<Info>
  If you need to add more seats, contact your Fano account representative or your reseller.
</Info>

## If you need to change a member's email

If an invitation was sent to the wrong email and the status is still **Pending**:

1. Remove the pending invitation.
2. Create a new invitation with the correct email address.

If the member has already activated (status is **Active**), contact [support@fano.ai](mailto:support@fano.ai) for assistance.

## Tips for a smooth rollout

<Tip>
  **Before inviting your team**, send a quick message letting them know to expect an email from Fano. Invitation emails can sometimes land in spam or promotions folders.
</Tip>

* Invite a small pilot group first to test the workflow.
* Share the [Quick Start guide](/getting-started/quickstart) so members know what to do after activating.
* Remind members to connect their calendars — it's the key step for hands-free meeting recording.
