Fano Summary is an AI meeting assistant that automatically records, transcribes, and summarizes your meetings. It joins your video calls as a note-taker bot and delivers structured meeting notes so you can focus on the conversation.
Fano Summary works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. The bot joins your call as a visible participant and records the audio.
Currently, Fano Summary integrates with Microsoft Outlook. Connect it in Settings → Integration to enable automatic meeting detection and bot joining.
Yes. You can use Record Now to capture meetings manually, or Upload Meeting to process an existing recording. Calendar integration just makes things automatic.
Fano supports multiple languages for both transcription and summaries, including English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Cantonese. The transcript language is detected automatically, and you can set your preferred summary language in Settings.
Yes. The transcript captures whatever was spoken, and the summary is generated in the language you choose in Settings → Profile & Preferences → Summary Language. You can have a Cantonese transcript with an English summary.
On any meeting’s detail page, click the template dropdown above the summary (default is “General”) and select a different template. The summary regenerates instantly. See Meeting Summaries for all 9 options.
Yes. Open the meeting, click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner of the meeting detail, and select Delete. This removes the meeting, its transcript, summary, and audio permanently.
Your meetings are visible only to you within your Fano Summary account. Company admins can manage organizational settings but do not have access to individual meeting content.
Minutes are counted based on the total duration of recorded meetings. A 30-minute meeting uses 30 minutes regardless of how many participants were on the call. Your monthly allocation resets on the date shown in Settings → Usage.
New meetings will not be recorded until your usage resets at the next billing cycle. Existing recordings, summaries, and transcripts remain accessible. Contact your admin for a plan upgrade if needed.
Yes. The Fano note-taker bot joins as a visible participant in the meeting. All attendees can see it in the participant list. We recommend informing participants about the recording as a best practice.
